From your initial contact with Mapleview Animal Hospital's staff, you and your pet will be a welcome part of our family. We strive to treat your pet as if he or she were one of our own.
Whether your pet needs his or her health looked after, a place to stay while your family is on vacation, or a new hairdo, Mapleview’s many services, beautiful facility, and caring staff will fit your needs perfectly.
Mapleview Animal Hospital, PC was founded in March of 1992. Striving to provide the best possible care to our animal friends, we became involved in rescue work. We have been placing animals for adoption for many years. We place both dogs and cats on a regular basis.

Back to School Special
Headin' Home Pet Rescue is having a "Back to School" Special. They have too many cats and kittens awaiting adoption. So, from now through September 7, the adoption fee for an adult cat is just $20 and kittens are $35. All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered; vaccinated; feline leukemia tested; and, have been dewormed. Please help us find these animals homes. Please contact Headin' Home Pet Rescue, Inc. for more information at 616-886-1474 or email headinhomerescue@sbcglobal.net
Kitten Fixin’ Blitz
We’re hosting a Kitten Fixin’ Blitz again this year. For several days each month, beginning in March and continuing through October, we’re offering discounted cat and kitten spays and neuters. The discount is 50% off the regular price. Kittens must be at least 3 months (12 weeks old). In addition, cats and kittens must be current on their rabies vaccination. Not vaccinated? Not to worry. We’re also offering rabies vaccinations for these same surgery patients at $13 for a 1-year vaccination. Surgeries, along with the rabies vaccination, are performed by appointment only. The dates for these surgeries are:
August 3, 5, 17, 19, 31
September 2, 14, 16, 28, 30
October 12, 14, 26, 28
Call us today at 616.399.2140 to take advantage of these great savings!
Due to surgery scheduling limitations, we will be unable to perform declaws during these appointments.
Petapalooza 2010
Well, another year has come and gone. We had great weather for the Petapalooza this year and a great turnout. There were over 2300 people that came out to see the animals and vendors. We had representatives from 13 rescue groups and 15 vendors. In addition, Zeke the MSU Wonder Dog performed; there were demonstrations from the Muskegon Lakeshore Obedience Training Club; and, Officer Scott Doza and Harrand gave a demonstration. The raffle, which benefited the Holland Police Department K9 Unit was a huge success, raising over $1000.
Plans will begin yet this year for the 2011 Petapalooza. That will be our 8th year and we can't wait!
Garage Sale
Thanks to all for the donations and support of our 3rd annual garage sale. We were able to raise over $700 for Headin' Home Pet Rescue due to the generosity of a great community.
Dr. Juan Pablo Calderon
We're pleased to have Dr. Calderon with us until early November. Dr. Calderon comes to us from Guatemala, where he has been practicing as a veterinarian for the past 10 years. He is currently observing the Mapleview doctors and consulting on cases. Dr. Calderon is in the office weekdays and some Saturdays. Make sure you meet him the next time you're in the office.
Best of 2009!
Thank you to our clients for once again voting us Best Veterinarian in the Holland Sentinel poll for 2009! This is the 6th time we've been honored to receive this award. In addition to Best Veterinarian, you also voted us #1 Kennel and #2 Groomer. We appreciate your support and we will continue to do our best to live up to the expectations our clients desire of us!
Guatemala
Dr Jim, Cindy and Teryn had an awesome time in Guatemala helping the people and pets of that country. During the course of the 5 days, they were able to spay/neuter over 115 animals. In addition, they performed other surgeries as needed while assisting at AWARE, a local animal shelter. To see photos of the trip, the countryside, and surgeries, click below.
