Other Services

Anesthesia

Thinking of your pet undergoing anesthesia can be stressful. In some cases, this fear and uncertainty can prevent pets from receiving the medical care they need and deserve. While your pet is here for procedures requiring anesthesia, take comfort in knowing that your pet will receive safe, comprehensive, advanced anesthesia and monitoring from our staff.

There is nothing more important to us than your pet’s safety, so we offer a variety of pre-anesthetic tests to screen patients and adjust our anesthetic protocol specifically for your pet. Our staff and doctors monitor your pet before, during, and after anesthesia to help ensure the best possible outcome.

We use Sevoflurane Gas Anesthesia for all general surgical procedures. Pulse Oximetry, ECG Monitoring, Blood Pressure Monitoring, and Temperature readings are taken throughout surgical procedures. If you have any questions regarding a procedure or our protocol, please call our office.

Grooming

Barb Balder is our full-time groomer and she works 6 days per week by appointment – either morning or afternoon – grooming both dogs and cats. Barb discusses with the clients what they desire for the visit and will do everything from show grooming to full-body shaves. Included in our grooming services are: bathing; drying; hair-cut; toe nail trimming; and anal sac expression. Barb graduated from the Paragon School of Pet Grooming.

Dogs in for grooming must be current on DHLPP; Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations. Cats must be current on Rabies vaccination.

Humane Euthanasia

There may come a time during the life of your pet, where you need to make the difficult, heart-wrenching decision to have your pet humanely euthanized. We understand that this decision is very personal and difficult whether it is due to a terminal illness or quality of life. Know that our compassionate staff will assist you through every step of the process and are here to answer any of your questions regarding the euthanasia procedure or the after-care of your beloved pet.

Laboratory

Laboratory testing is a valuable tool in veterinary medicine. Our in-house laboratory gives us the ability to run many diagnostic tests quickly and accurately, with same day results, enabling us to provide quality care to our patients.

Some diagnostic tests are not able to run in-house. For any of those tests (such as biopsies), we utilize several different laboratories throughout the country.
