When not at work, I work with America's Best Frisbee Dogs putting on halftime Frisbee shows at football and basketball games as well as community events.

I graduated from Holland High School in 2015. I'm taking a couple years off before attending college. I've wanted to work with animals for as long as I can remember. Working as a kennel worker at Mapleview has only made my love and appreciation for animals even greater. I have one pet, a 2 year old hamster named Klaus. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, reading, taking care of animals, and hiking.
I’ve been a part of the Mapleview Family since 2007. I was born and raised in Holland and graduated from West Ottawa High School. I attended GVSU as well as GRCC, where I got my associate degree in Business Administration, but always knew I wanted to end back up working with animals. Working in the kennel at the clinic was my first job when I was 16. You can still find me in the kennel often as being with dogs is what makes me the most happy. But I also work in the office assisting the doctors and doing reception work.
When I'm not at the clinic, you can find me volunteering most of my time at Headin’
Home Pet Rescue! I spend most of my free time with my dogs, Harper, Izzy, Brock
and Sugar Babe and usually have an extra foster dog or two visiting!
I joined the Mapleview team the summer of 2018. I’m originally from Chicago but since moving have enjoyed living in Michigan. I have two brother guinea pigs named Theodore and Wilburt. In my free time I enjoy watching movies, hanging out with my friends, and spoiling my guinea babies. Since working at Mapleview, I have found a passion for helping animals. I am currently attending Penn Foster to become a Veterinary Technician.
I started working at Mapleview Animal Hospital in April of 2016 after I retired from Gentex Corp. Being a country girl raised in Sparta, and my love for animals, this seemed like a perfect job. What I really love is the caring of the boarding cats along with all the rescue cats and kittens. In addition, the occasions when there are also small dogs and puppies. I have two daughters, Jodie & Korene (and son-in-law Ted), a son, Trevor, three grand children, Ben, Maelynn & Nikki, and one great grandson, Emmett. They're all the Rainbows & Music of my heart. I enjoy working outside on my yard, flower beds and garden, going for walks, reading, camping, fishing and kayaking. I have 2 wonderful dogs, Zoey & Brady. After working only one month at Mapleview I brought Brady home so he could heal better after leg surgery and he never left. Yep, I'm a foster failure!
I went to Zeeland Public schools and plan on pursuing an education to become a veterinary technician. I've loved connecting with animals since I got my first pet. I have 3 cats named Kirby, Patches and Cas. Outside of the clinic, I can be found painting or trying out new recipes.

I grew up in Marshall, MI. After high school, I moved to Marquette, MI to study broadcast journalism at Northern Michigan University. After college, I moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, then back to Marshall to be closer to my family while raising my daughter. I began fostering dogs and decided it was time for a career change. I began my Vet Assistant/Technician studies through Animal Behavior College. In the mean time, my daughter and I moved up to the Grand Haven area with my boyfriend and his children. I was assigned to Mapleview for my externship, and here I stayed! I enjoy family game nights, bike rides, fostering dogs, watching sports and adventures with my four dogs; Sophia, Teagan, Yogi and Blanche.
